The DAMMY Awards were launched in 2010 with a three-part goal; the awards aim to raise awareness of the rapidly evolving, increasingly crucial role of digital asset management (DAM);to promote creative and technical excellence in the field; and to recognize the achievement in the DAM space. Last year's inaugural DAMMY winners included; Jason Bright (DAMMY of the Year); UPS (Best Storage Archive and or Preservation Solution); interaktion gmbh for Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) (Best Example of Asset & Media Repurposing); Light Iron Digital, and Michael Cioni (Best Strategy or Solution for Digital & Media Asset Management During the Acquisition of Content). Returning to New York on September 22-23, 2011 at the New Yorker Hotel is Createasphere's Digital Asset Management Conference and Exhibition.
