Houses of Worship Technology Leaders Meet Industry Leaders in Chicago
– the industry-leading company that brings together experts, exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees to share a vested interest in understanding and shaping the future of the industry – has concluded its first Executive Marketplace for Houses of Worship (HoW) in Chicago this week. During the event, decision makers from leading worship facilities around the country participated in solution-focused meetings with entertainment technology experts from manufacturers and solutions companies. The Executive Marketplace presented a unique opportunity for in-depth meeting and analysis of the media needs of sanctuaries as well as networking events, educational sessions and keynote presentations. Createasphere’s Executive Marketplace took place at the O’Hare Embassy Suites on July 20 and 21.
The invitation-only event kicked off with a keynote on July 20 from Dan McGraw of
. McGraw, who has an extensive background in digital asset management, technologies for content creators, and religious broadcasting, focused on the stewardship of resources and how houses of worship must martial them to tell powerful stories. On July 21, Createasphere’s Executive Marketplace presented producer
, who outlined the steps for choosing, crafting, and creating compelling stories that enlighten audiences. Wales is a highly regarded Hollywood producer who has created award-winning television, faith-focused television programming, and feature films for over 40 years.
Over the course of the two-day gathering, Createasphere customized one-on-one meetings between exhibitors and church delegates, enabling them to get the latest information to guide their decisions about technology solutions for content creation, management, and delivery. In addition, the delegates and company representatives were invited to a number of networking and social events, including digital asset management seminars, a Createasphere/CONNECT Live event, cocktail receptions, and evening dinners.
“For those who passed on the event because it was new, “They really missed out!” said Rick Jeremiah, Technical Director, Northwood’s Community Church. “The style of the event was unfamiliar to our tech groups and the blog-a-sphere we live in but was totally cool. It was refreshing to actually have an appointment to sit-down with the representatives from the companies that were represented at the event. No standing in an exhibit hall booth jockeying for time with an exhibitor. One on one face time, talking about what we do and what we need. Wow, what a concept! I hope that this event becomes a mainstay on my calendar each year.”
The next Executive Marketplace for Houses of Worship will be in the summer of 2012. More information can be found by visiting
