New York, NY – (July 7, 2008) – Company X Editor Rob Mead recently worked on a new music video for Sheryl Crow via Interscope Records. “Out of Our Heads is a powerful anthem for peace with its unifying and uplifting lyrics. Black-and-white performance footage of Crow and her band are juxtaposed against footage and photos of people – famous and non-famous – waving peace signs. Iconic political leaders, musicians and celebrities such as Jimi Hendrix and Bono, and everyday people from around the world are featured in the video. No matter the era or status, all are gesturing for world peace. To view “Out of Our Heads, please go to www. or

. “Sheryl wanted to use musicians, politicians, actors, and everyday people giving the peace symbol to get across the universal message, explains Catherine Berclaz, Video Producer. “Rob [Mead] and I worked very closely. The difficult part was how to introduce the stock footage without making it jarring against the performance footage. Rob came up with ideas on pacing and the flow of the shots. He did a really amazing job. Post was an intensive and long process. It required a lot of reformatting, and designing how the photos would integrate into the footage. We’re really happy with how it turned out. Director Martyn Atkins, who has worked with such legendary artists as Eric Clapton and Paul Simon, shot the performance footage on two 16mm cameras for a more organic feel. To get a sense of history and the present, crowds of people were also shot at Coachella this year. Stock footage was handled by Miss Information in Los Angeles. “The concept is a celebration of the peace movement, concludes Editor Rob Mead. “The biggest challenge was maintaining the flow of the video while creating different formations and timing for the photos. Our solution was to alternate between the photos side-by-side and full frame. The split screen also provided a nice graphic element. Catherine was a pleasure to work with. She is intuitive and decisive - qualities, which really provided a balance to help shape the video. This was a great experience. Client: Interscope Records Project Title/Airdate: Sheryl Crow “Out of Our Heads / June 15, 2008 Production Company: Parallel 28 Equipe Director/DP: Martyn Atkins Producers: Catherine Berclaz and James Pluta Where Shot: Rehearsal/performance footage shot in Wichita, Kansas Editorial Company: Company X Edit/New York, NY Editor: Rob Mead Assistant Editor: Jon Sajetowski Company X Executive Producer/Producer: Rachelle Way
