Colorist Bryan McMahan Returns to Post Logic Studios

Post Logic Studios, a leading independent post-production and digital intermediate (DI) service facility, announced today the re-hire of colorist Bryan McMahan. McMahan has had more than 24 years of experience in film color grading and telecine and returns to Post Logic Studios after a year and a half at Technicolor.

“We‘re really pleased to be welcoming Bryan back into Post Logic,” said Larry Birstock, CEO, Post Logic Studios. “He‘s an incredible talent and a wonderful person who brings with him not only a wealth of film color expertise, but also a devoted client base who repeatedly come to him with their film projects.”

Prior to working with Technicolor, McMahan spent four and a half years at Post Logic Studios. His return to Post Logic reunites McMahan with executive team Larry Birstock, CEO, and Merle Sharp, CTO, both of whom he has known for over 20 years.

“It’s great to be back at a facility that puts quality and customer service above everything else. These values are core to Post Logic‘s mission,” commented McMahan. “I look forward to working with so many familiar faces again and to diving into the A-list studio and independent DI and mastering titles that come into Post Logic.”

McMahan has had a long and celebrated career in DI, film mastering and telecine, and has worked repeatedly with some of the most recognized names in filmmaking, including directors William Friedkin, Sam Mendes and Ridley Scott, and directors of photography Caleb Deschanel, John Toll and

the late Conrad Hall. His recent projects include DIs for A Plumm Summer and Walking Tall, feature mastering for The Prestige, The Devil Wears Prada, Bug and The New World among others; and re-mastering of Paramount library titles including Island In the Sky, The High and The Mighty, Sunset Blvd and many more.

As a veteran with over two decades in film post production, McMahan has worked with every major film studio and many of the industry‘s top directors and directors of photography. Prior to his initial tenure with Post Logic Studios, McMahon was at VDI, and before that spent over 10 years at Sunset Post. Before that he was with Image Transform for five years and started out at United Color Lab where he also spent five years.
