CIS Vancouver Names Dennis Hoffman as Senior Vice President and General Manager

Vancouver, B.C. - May 6, 2008 - Dennis Hoffman has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager of CIS Vancouver, it was announced today by Don Fly, President of the CIS Visual Effects Group. Hoffman has been CIS Vancouver’s Head of Production since the beginning of 2007. Fly has also announced that Marianne O’Reilly, currently President of CIS Vancouver (formerly Rainmaker Visual Effects) and a nine year veteran of the company, will relocate to the East Coast where she will consult on new business opportunities for the company. “Dennis has earned this promotion,� says Fly, who is based at CIS’s Hollywood studio. “His vast industry experience has contributed to the success of our Vancouver facility and I’m delighted to elevate him to the top spot. I’m also especially pleased to see Marianne take on this new challenge. She has been an invaluable partner in moving our three-facility group forward.� “I am thrilled on many levels for this opportunity and I’m honored to move into the lead role as we take our next steps in Vancouver,� says Hoffman. “Working with Don, along with Roma O’Connor who heads our London facility, allows us to take advantage of the global marketplace our business has truly become.� In his new role, Hoffman will oversee all the day to day operations of CIS Vancouver. Hoffman, a 20-year production veteran, began his career at Image G. and subsequently held positions as Vice President/Head of Production at Digital Domain, Vice President/Executive Producer at Dream Quest Images and Vice President/Head of Production at Cinesite. O'Reilly has been in entertainment management for over 17 years both in film, television and sports. She began her career at Rainmaker in 1999 as a visual effects producer and was named the company’s Executive Producer in 2004. As President of Rainmaker, O’Reilly was instrumental in its successful acquisition by CIS Visual Effects Group in January 2008. CIS Vancouver’s upcoming releases include Tropic Thunder, Changeling, Twilight, Space Buddies and The Nutcracker. Previous credits include Vantage Point, Blades of Glory, The Da Vinci Code, Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties, Garfield and I, Robot.
