Cinedeck record, ingest and transcode platforms deliver a host of cutting-edge features that enable Adobe Premiere Pro CC editorial teams to access files faster and to start editing content while it is being recorded – the ideal scenario when rapid content turnaround is essential, such as in live, multi-cam broadcast and news operations.

Cinedeck products include the two-channel RX3G and four-channel MX recorders, supporting 4K, UltraHD, 2K, HD and SD workflows with multiple native codecs, plus the latest SMPTE and DPP-recommended broadcast delivery standards. They simultaneously capture and create edit-ready deliverables on multiple storage destinations, allowing post-production processes to begin without delay.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC editors can harness the multi-channel, multi-codec ingest/playout capabilities of Cinedeck RX3G and MX, including the redundant recording of, and rapid access to, material in a range of popular codecs – including ProRes, DNxHD, AVC-Intra, H.264 and XDCAM HD – via appropriate high-performance storage.

Cinedecks also provide growing XDCAM HD files, which support “Edit-while-recording”, a new, automatic feature enabling Abode Premiere Pro CC editors to access material while cameras are still recording the action. Auto-refresh can be adjusted as required from within Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Editors can also manually trigger a refresh of growing files anytime to see the most recently recorded content.

Broadcasters and live multi-cam productions can import growing clips into Adobe Premiere Pro CC, in the same manner as any other video material. Depending on a production’s requirements, Adobe Premiere Pro CC can also be installed directly on the Cinedeck platforms and use local Cinedeck storage.

Furthermore, Cinedeck will introduce full 64-bit support at IBC 2014, which provides even greater platform stability and allows for additional simultaneous realtime processing of video and audio files while they are being recorded. This includes the application of LUTs and many other additional creative, security and workflow-boosting features. More streamlined project set-ups and project locking will also be introduced at the show.

University of Louisville Completes State-of-the-Art Control Room Build With Systems Integration by BeckTV

BeckTV, one of the United States' premier design-build systems integrators, served as the systems integrator for the control room build at the new University of Louisville (UofL) Athletics Broadcast Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The state-of-the-art, 7,850-square-foot television production facility, which opened its doors in September 2018, is designed to house all of the equipment and personnel necessary to originate live programming for the comprehensive linear and digital ACC Network, which will be launched by the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and ESPN in 2019.
