Continued Development of EMI/Abbey Road Studios Recording Gear

Shell Rock, IA – August 2014 … Chandler Limited, recognized globally for signal processing and related music and audio products that deliver the classic analog sounds recording and professional musicians seek, is excited to announce the company has entered into a new long-term agreement with Abbey Road Studios, UK, to continue Chandler Limited’s development and marketing of EMI/Abbey Road Studios’ vintage recording equipment.

Abbey Road Studios are the most famous recording studios in the world, home to countless landmark recordings and pioneering advances in recording technology. The studios have hosted some of the world’s most celebrated artists, including the Beatles, Pink Floyd, the Hollies, Kate Bush, Oasis, Florence and the Machine, Adele and Lady Gaga. During the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s, Abbey Road Studios helped the EMI Record Engineering Development Department create some of the finest recording gear in history, most of which was only available to EMI Studios and was never sold commercially.

Since the two companies’ relationship began more than a decade ago, Chandler Limited has become renowned for recreating and delivering to the recording industry the highly sought-after and legendary sound of EMI/Abbey Road Studios recording equipment.

With this new agreement, Chandler Limited’s homage to original EMI/Abbey Road equipment is set to grow well into the future. The official products currently on the market are considered ‘modern classics’ and include the TG1 Limiter, TG2 Pre Amp/DI, TG Channel MKII, TG12345 Curve Bender EQ, TG12413 Zener Limiter and the newly released TG2-500 Pre Amp in the 500-series format.

Mirek Stiles, Head of Audio Products at Abbey Road Studios had this to say, “Thanks to Chandler Limited, a whole new generation of engineers and producers today have access to EMI hardware, inspired by the very units used to record some of the biggest pop hits in history.

Abbey Road Studios is extremely proud to be associated with these excellent examples of quality recording hardware. We are delighted that our partnership has been extended and look forward to releasing new products that continue to keep the Electronic and Musical Industries legend alive."

Chandler Limited’s Chief Designer Wade Goeke remarked, “I’m delighted to be starting a new era with Abbey Road Studios. We have already logged ten years together, but this new agreement will allow us to expand our product lines and develop our relationship as a whole.

We will be offering products based upon classic EMI equipment that has never been modelled before, including REDD and RS units, as well as new directions in the TG line. There are also a few tricks that we have up our sleeve, which I think will surprise people. We are very excited about what the future holds."
