The Camera House Expands Digital Services with Digital Vision System

Las Vegas, NV (NAB) – 16 April, 2007 – At NAB 2007, Digital Vision, a leading developer of advanced digital media applications for film and video, announces that The Camera House, a Los Angeles provider of on-set and post solutions, has purchased a Digital Vision Film Cutter system with the DVO image processing option.

Known in the film community as a go-to resource for equipment, knowledge, and support for the newest digital workflows, The Camera House recently expanded its business to include a Digital Film Company division, enabling them to provide all-in-one solutions not only for acquisition, but for post-production as well. The Digital Vision equipment will be installed in The Digital Film Company‘s brand new facility in the heart of Hollywood. It expands the company‘s post-production services to include specialized capabilities like image enhancement and noise reduction, and addresses increasing client demand for DI, conform and colour grading.

The Nucoda Film Cutter is a comprehensive editing, conforming, grading, and effects system that provides a complete set of mastering tools for film and video projects. Digital Vision Optics (DVO) is a collection of resolution-independent image processing tools used to manage film grain and video noise, automatically remove dust and dirt and improve picture quality.

The Camera House‘s Digital Film Company post-production division will open the doors of its Hollywood facility, located at Romain and Fuller, on May 1, 2007. The facility features a D.I. screening room with Sony 4k digital projection.

Rufus Burnham, CEO and President of The Camera House, said, “Our business is about supporting productions in all things visual. We‘ve developed truly unparalleled expertise in new digital workflows on projects from big-budget features to independent films and commercial work. The Digital Vision systems add significant capabilities to our finishing services and enable us to offer clients an even more comprehensive service package, no matter what their project budget, all from a single source.”

Digital Vision President and COO, Simon Cuff, said, The Camera House has a strong reputation for helping directors and DPs adopt new digital cameras and post workflows in service of their creative vision. The fact that they‘ve chosen Digital Vision solutions is great confirmation for us that our systems meet the highest quality and efficiency standards of this company and its clients.”
