NEW YORK, NEW YORK – For Animal Planet, New York-based creative services agency, Blue Room NYC, has produced, edited and designed graphic treatments for six of Animal Planet’s 2009/10 show packages to be shown to network executives, press and advertisers at their upfront presentation in Chicago on March 26th, then New York on April 2nd, and LA on April 15th.
“Animal Planet has done a great job developing bold, unexpected programming that has really expanded the scope of their brand. Since 2007, when we began working with them, we’ve been able to contribute to this process by creating various on-air promos, graphic treatments and viral content that exhibit the playful, gutsy attitude for which they’ve come to be known. So when they asked us to produce some of the segments of their upfront presentation, we knew it would be important to expand on this sensibility with the debut of their upfront line-up, explained Blue Room Producer Lauren Muir.
Designed to generate excitement about the Animal Planet brand, the six upfront tapes will be seen this month as part of the larger Discovery presentations. Blue Room created video packages for the following upcoming shows:
• Whale Wars: The series documents the battle to end whaling on the far side of the world between Japanese whalers and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. This :45 presentation was edited across six screens with the action focused on the main screen and five background panels, containing supplemental material, enhancing both the drama and pace.
• Cowboys: This 1:00 minute presentation follows the lives of American cowboy families.
• The Natural History Tape: both a l:45 and l:00 versions, weave together incredible shots from four grand, HD, nature shows – Living with Elephants, Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, The Herd and The Great Rift.
• The Judi Hoffman Project (working title): This 1:00 project provides a sneak preview of a new show featuring a New York woman and her psychic cats.
• Fetch Me a Beer (working title): 1:00 introduction to a new show in which animal trainer Zak George teaches humans to get their pets to do truly amazing things.
• Bio Recon: A 1:00 preview about a scientist/adventurer hired to travel the world to find dangerous species and extract their venom for medical use.
