Shook said, “We are thrilled that Chris Willoughby, a true industry icon, has joined Shelter, allowing us to combine our state-of-the-art facilities and eclectic environment with one of the best talents anywhere. With the addition of Chris, Shelter now has the ability to better service our full range of clientele, large and small, which include such major national and international clients as Del Taco, Lincoln Mercury and Land Rover.
Added Willoughby, “Stuart has designed and created Shelter as a company with a lot of style and a great deal of professionalism, not to mention a place offering a really fun environment. My decision to join forces with him and Shelter was an easy one. I know that by working jointly, we can now take Shelter to an even higher — and more prominent– industry leadership position.â€?
Willoughby and Shelter have just completed both production and editorial on the new “Annoying Del Taco TV spot promoting that company’s crispy fish tacos. In the spot, “The Beast stands in front of a Del Taco restaurant, dressed in scuba gear, shouting through a megaphone, “Fish taco, fish taco, fish taco, fish taco! Del Taco describes their “Beast character as “the physical manifestation of your ravenous, untamed hunger!
Del Taco is the world’s second largest Mexican quick-service restaurant chain. The new “Annoying spot, the latest in Del Taco’s on-going “Feed the Beast campaign, breaks on Feb. 21, and will air within the U.S. Western Region.
Chris Brown, Creative Director at Brainsaw, the Tustin, CA-based ad agency that produces the Del Taco spots, said, “Comedy spots depend on perfect timing, which makes the editorial process critical. As an editor, Chris Willoughby combines a great comedic sense with years of editorial expertise. He and Shelter gave us a hilarious ‘Annoying’ spot, not to mention the fact that Chris even resembles the ‘Beast’ character!
