Encino, CA, September 27, 2006- Two executives from AvatarLabs, a full-service motion graphics and online design studio for the entertainment industry, will make a special presentation entitled “Think. Create. Play” during the upcoming “Rich Media Entertainment Fest” presented by FITC Hollywood. The executives from AvatarLabs will speak from 5-6 PM on Oct. 6th at Universal Studios/Hollywood. (Address is: 4222 Vineland Ave, Hollywood, CA, 91602)

Rex Cook, founder/Chief Creative Director, and Aaron Buchanan, Flash Developer, for AvatarLabs, will speak on the proliferation of “rich media.” AvatarLabs specializes in the creation of online rich ads, which are designed to offer Internet users additional information and interactive features while promoting major movie releases. With online advertising spending now exceeding that of print advertising, studios are beginning to embrace these new types of Internet ads as highly creative and immersive marketing tools which can translate the interest of potential theater-goers into box-office ticket sales. These rich ads appear on Yahoo, MSN, AOL, Google and other major Internet destinations.

Over the past five years, FITC has established itself as the premiere North American conference for rich media development, particularly with Flash. Drawing on global leaders in Flash and rich media, FITC has provided its audience of developers, designers and educators with top-quality content and created a vibrant hub of creativity and networking. Now, with the explosion of rich media and entertainment-driven Flash content, FITC is expanding to Hollywood, the capital of entertainment and rich media, providing a direct bridge from the key content industry drivers to the masters of the best technology to deliver that content. FITC Hollywood is the first conference to bridge this gap, helping to foster an already exploding nexus of creativity and content in Southern California, and laying the groundwork for the future in which digital interactive interfaces surround us.
