Art Machine Promotes A&E's "Andromedia Strain" with Station Domination Event

Publish date:

Hollywood, CA, June 13, 2008 – Art Machine, a Trailer Park company and a multi-award winning design firm specializing in print campaigns for the entertainment industry, recently helped client A&E Network “dominate New York’s Grand Central Station with a massive “Station Domination Media Campaign promoting A&E’s highly successful mini-series, “The Andromedia Strain. (Note: “The Andromedia Strain is the # 1 Original Cable Movie/Miniseries in 2008 to date, with over 10.7 million viewers.) For this massive promotion, Art Machine designed, created and produced every piece of media seen by the tens of thousands of New York commuters who traveled through Grand Central Station on a daily basis during the month of May. Art Machine’s “The Andromedia Strain multiple media pieces were comprised of large, three-sheet posters, vertical beam panels, stairwell soffits, backlit shelters, wallscapes, corridor soffits, escalator soffits, and large dioramas. Regarding this promotion and Art Machine’s contributions, Guy Salattery, Senior VP, Marketing, A&E Network, said, “Art Machine did a fantastic job of translating their initial concept into the multiple executions needed for a station domination. The reaction from commuters was great, and it clearly contributed to the phenomenal ratings success of ‘The Andromedia Strain.’ Adds Art Machine’s Creative Director Jeremy Kaplan, “We were thrilled to be able to support our client A&E Network with this mass media, large scale promotion. We worked closely with them to develop a number of media pieces all promoting A&E’s exciting ‘The Andromedia Strain’ event in a huge public thoroughfare. In addition to numerous print pieces, our promotion also incorporated some new technology—Wall FX projection. This new system allowed people walking by to interact with ‘The Andromedia Strain’ messaging that was being projected on the walls behind them. Overall, it’s always fun to help create a large scale, promotional media event. ABOUT ART MACHINE: Art Machine, a Trailer Park Company since 2007, is a multi-award winning design firm specializing in print campaigns for the entertainment industry.
