Adobe is expanding the Flash Media Solution Provider (FMSP) program and collaborating with additional companies to grow the ecosystem for Adobe Media Player. New members of the FMSP program include: Brightcove, ExtendMedia, Maven Networks, and thePlatform. Additionally, companies collaborating with Adobe and supporting the Adobe Media Player include Blip.tv, FeedBurner, Motionbox, Podbridge, and Reality Digital. These companies will help expand Adobe‘s Internet video solutions, adding to an emerging ecosystem that enables new ways to distribute and monetize media, while helping viewers discover and view high-quality content both online and offline.
The Adobe Media Player is a desktop application that leverages Adobe‘s Emmy® Award winning Flash® architecture, delivering more engaging video experiences to viewers while offering content publishers new abilities to distribute, track and build businesses around their media assets. The FMSP program is a consortium of professional solution providers and publishers that offer consulting and implementation services for the Adobe Flash Media Server and the recently announced Adobe Media Player.
In addition to supporting the new Adobe Media Player, new FMSPs will provide flexible live and on-demand streaming experiences to their customers by leveraging Flash Media Server 2 and the Flash Video Streaming Service. Flash Media Server 2 offers traditional streaming media capabilities and a flexible development environment for creating and delivering innovative, interactive media applications to a broad audience. The Flash Video Streaming Service program offers hosted services for delivering on-demand video for Adobe Flash® Player across high-performance networks.
