The Company’s redesigned 3D camera rigs allow cinematographers to achieve perfect alignment for extraordinary 3D images.
San Diego, CA — 3D Film Factory has just upgraded their complete line of affordable, production-ready, 3D camera systems, allowing for perfect camera alignment on all axisŒ – x, y & z – every time. The improvements include a totally redesigned camera mounting system, on all side-by-side and beam-splitter rigs, that make the new rigs some of the most precise systems anywhere. Starting at a retail price of just $2,895, the 3DFF camera systems offers a viable alternative to high-priced 3D rigs costing ten times as much.
“Our goal is to proliferate 3D production by making it accessible. In the real world that means making professional, precise 3D systems that filmmakers can actually afford. The new redesign is our answer to that need,” said company president Karl Kozak. “Other rig manufacturers are making behemoth, expensive, overly complicated rigs. We went the other way and we couldn’t be happier with the result.”
Simply put, the new 3D camera mounts allow users to have total control over convergence settings (1° to 5°), tilt, roll, side-to-side and up/down (the total XYZ axis), for perfect camera alignment.
In addition to the specialty camera mounts, 3DFF added a smooth carriage drive to the 3D-BS PRO Rig (beam-splitter) to accommodate heavier cameras, added suspension supports throughout, and improved glass quality on each camera rig.
