New HDMon-90WS Monitor Features Flexible Design and Advanced Processing That Ensures Exceptional HD and SD Images

HAYWARD, Calif. — Feb. 26, 2008 —

PANORAMAdtv, the video products division of Wohler Technologies Inc., today announced the release of the HDMon-90WS, the latest addition to Wohler’s HDMon family of HD color video monitor displays. The 9-inch HDMon-90WS is a production-grade monitor that accepts dual HD/SD-SDI inputs, as well as analog component and composite signals, DVI signals, RGBHV video, and CGI images, serving as an ideal solution for users requiring high-quality viewing of both HD and SD images. “Like other products in the HDMon family, the HDMon-90WS incorporates all of the must-have features of a broadcast monitor, said Carl J. Dempsey, CEO of Wohler. “Boasting enormous size and weight savings over a comparable CRT display, this versatile unit enables space and cost savings in mobile broadcast trucks while supplying all the functionality expected in either a mobile or fixed facility. By providing the highest-quality images from a broad range of input types, the HDMon-90WS accommodates a wide variety of production applications. Though the HDMon product family is designed primarily for 1080-line HD applications, each monitor provides exceptional noise reduction, motion interpolation for interlaced images, and motion-adaptive processing to ensure a crisp, clear display of images, regardless of their native resolution. The HDMon-90WS monitor employs an 800x480 TFT/LCD screen, reaching a perfect medium in the scaling and interpolation process and thus providing superb imaging regardless of video format or resolution. A sleek, lightweight design allows the HDMon-90WS to convert from a portable device to a tabletop solution without requiring additional hardware. Operating either as a desktop monitor or installed in a 19-inch-wide rack, this LCD display offers HD resolution, a choice of 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios, user-adjustable scaling, and 36 square inches of active viewing, the widest view angle in the industry. Standard CRT functions include channel isolate, overscan, underscan, and power-saving auto off, as well as automatic and manual color temperature adjustment. Built-in 100Base-T Ethernet and RS-232 connections allow the monitor to be configured and controlled remotely via a Windows®-based GUI or by third-party control systems. The HDMon-90WS may be paired with one of Wohler’s audio monitors, such as the AMP2-E8MDA, to create a flexible, compact solution for comprehensive A/V monitoring. Wohler guarantees the monitor’s performance with a market-leading two-year warranty. More information about the HDMon-90WS and other products from PANORAMAdtv is available at
