Pro audio’s top names step out for the industry’s big night

Los Angeles, CA - The 2015 Pensado Awards, which took place on the Sony Pictures lot August 30, saw a who’s who of the professional audio industry grace the stage as well as the audience. Westlake Pro, a sponsor of the annual event, has posted a series of video interviews with many noteworthy Pensado Awards guests including produces/engineers Chris Lord-Alge, Young Guru, Tony Shepperd, Ed Cherney, Dave Reitzas and more.

In a fun and relaxed style, Westlake Pro Media Correspondent Cloie Wyatt Taylor gets her guests to open up on a variety of topics, from why they got into the business to industry trends, technology, the importance of education and more. Peppered with humor and some good “industry insider” stories, the interviews are both entertaining and informative for any musician, producer, engineer, or music fan to watch.

Qoncept Inc. Uses DeckLink SDI Micro for Pitching Tracking System Baseboy

Blackmagic Design announced today that Blackmagic’s DeckLink SDI Micro was used for capture and playback with the pitching tracking system “Baseboy,” a newly announced system by Qoncept Inc. capable of visualizing a ball’s path and interlocking with a camera feed. Baseboy was first used, in conjunction with a Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K, in the recent Japan/US international baseball match, Samurai Japan Series 2019, broadcast by TV Asahi as Japan’s first real time baseboy analysis system.
