Mexico City-based Animation Studio to Install Up to 100 Seats of StudioCAP Cloud-based Software to Realize Faster, and More Cost-Effective Project and Asset Management

VANCOUVER, B.C and MEXICO CITY, MEXICO—September 28th 2011—Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF)

Thinware Media Ltd.

, developers of

workflow automation and asset management for animation studios,

Ànima Estudios

, one of the top animation production studios in Mexico and Latin America, today announced a software sales agreement to install up to 100 subscriber seats of StudioCAP cloud-based licenses. This addition will give Ànima Estudios artists never-before-available access to files and animation elements via ‘The Cloud’—for increased productivity and more accurate check-in and check-out—from virtually any location. StudioCAP (CAP=Computer Aided Production) is a completely new workflow automation and asset management solution for animation studios. Its cloud-based system will enable Ànima Estudios to more efficiently store, track, and move its 2D and 3D CGI (computer generated image) assets through the creation process without having to install and manage a costly IT infrastructure. “We were looking for a way to streamline our production process management capabilities as well as asset management at Ànima Estudios—more so with the increasing complexities of the large number of projects we are constantly working on,” said Jose Carlos Garcia de Letona, Executive VP at Ànima Estudios, Mexico. “StudioCAP from Thinware Media offers the Cloud-based, access-anywhere functionality that we wanted to implement, at nearly 70% lower cost than installing our own hardware and infrastructure.” “At the Ottawa International Animation Festival, we are excited to announce this significant sale of up to 100 seats of StudioCAP to Ànima Estudios," said Mark Rocchio, CEO of Thinware Media Ltd. "At an event like the OIAF, with so many world-class animated features and shorts being shown and discussed, it has become evident that it is more important than ever to have a solid performing workflow, pipeline, and back-end solution—and we’re thrilled to be a part of how Ànima Estudios is significantly upgrading their project and asset management needs with StudioCAP."
