Representatives from 100 major entertainment and media companies attended the highly successful event, including those from Warner Bros., Paramount, Ascent Media, Fotokem and Disney.

The focus of Media Distributors‘ “Second Annual Technology Showcase” event was to present to key industry members new technologies that help companies specifically in the entertainment market segment improve their workflow operations. The featured product at this year‘s event was Media Distributors‘ presentation of the new Rimage Blu-Ray DVD Publishing System, marking one of the first events in which Rimage has shown this system.

The Rimage Blu-Ray DVD Publishing System, still a Beta System, earned very positive feedback from Media Distributors‘ customers who attended the showcase event. On a special note, Media Distributors arranged for the world‘s first Beta Customer for the Rimage Blu-Ray DVD Publishing System--Ascent Media, the world‘s largest post production company.

Mr. Steve Klein, CEO/Founder, and Mr. Richard Myerson, President, Media Distributors, said, “We truly enjoy holding this annual event, as we have recognized that our customers regularly ask us for assistance and ways to help them improve their production workflows. In conjunction with our strategic partners, our company has developed several unique workflow solutions which address these issues. We have personally been involved with these technologies for many years now, and have learned what works best for our clients within their production and post production environments.”

At the event, Media Distributors had three unique “Solution Stations” set up, each addressing a particular need of the production workflow. The technology shown at each station had a corresponding power-point presentation that was shown throughout the day, and each solution also included a software partner that was attached to the Rimage DVD publishing system.

The “Solution Stations” presented during the showcase (and their related software partners) were:

** Automated Authoring & DVD Publishing Solution--(Pulse Digital & Rimage)

** DRM Solution that provides Invisible Watermarking--(Cinea & Rimage)

** Automated Archiving Solution for Archiving Audio Sessions and Video Content-- (Storage Quest & Rimage)
