Rik Kirby, owner of Allied SMD in Mission Viejo, California, has been named Sales Director for the US operations of LUMINEX.  "We've been growing quickly in the American market," explains LUMINEX CEO and co-founder Bart Swinnen, "and we're looking forward to working with Rik to further develop our business there."

An industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, Kirby founded Allied SMD in 2016 specializing in brand and market development for international companies looking to strengthen their presence in the US.  "LUMINEX is a great company with a real family approach to their partners and arguably the industry's simplest solution to complex networking requirements," says Kirby.  "I'm looking forward to being part of the team and contributing to their continuing success!"

Hugo Larin, Director for Luminex America, adds, "It is great that after 20 years knowing Rik we get to work together again.  This industry is all about people and I'm very excited about our agreement, it's like connecting with an old audio buddy! Rik brings professionalism, a solid reputation in the audio industry, and high level support.  And the sales partners he brings to the table are some of the best firms in the US."
