Los Angeles, CA (November 30, 2006) -- IMAGICA Technologies Corp., the engineering solutions division company of IMAGICA Robot Holdings, Inc. announced today that leading Indian post facility, OCHER Studios PVT Ltd. has purchased an IMAGER XE Advanced Plus scanner to drive its growth into digital intermediate (DI) services. The deal was brokered via Aditya Infotech, Ltd, IMAGICA‘s distributor in India.

"As more and more of the international film market turns towards DI, it's important to have the most advanced technologies available so that the DI process is more streamlined for our artists and more cost-effective for our customers. As we focus to provide valued services to our clients, the IMAGICA scanner has been an integral addition to our VFX and DI pipeline providing top quality throughput,” said Ms.Soundarya Rajinikanth, managing director, Ocher Studios.

OCHER Studios is the commercial production wing of The Ashram Group of Institutions (ASMG) and completed its first film project in April of 2005, Indian action film “Chandramukhi” featuring “Superstar” Rajnikanth. The production tapped OCHER‘s efficient workflow pipeline and talented team to deliver the highly successful and visually impressive feature. The facility staffs a talented team of visual effects artists, animators and producers who specialize in high-end video post-production and DI services for some of the regions biggest film and commercial projects.

The IMAGER XE Advanced Plus scans 35mm motion picture film with scan rates of 1.9 seconds per frame for 4K and 1.3 seconds per frame for 2K. 35mm 3 perf and 16mm/Super 16mm are also available as options. IMAGICA recently rolled out a Wetgate option that reduces the cost of dust and scratch removal for restoration and remastering projects.
