Effective November 1st, Owen assumes responsibility for all U.S. sales programs for AKG Acoustics, Soundcraft and Studer.

NORTHRIDGE, CA - October 25, 2006 - Underscoring its commitment to the U.S. sales and marketing arm of its European-based brands, Harman Pro North America (HPNA) today announced the appointment of Nick Owen to the new position of Vice President of Sales, assuming responsibility of sales for AKG Acoustics, Soundcraft and Studer in the United States.

Stefan Gubi, President of AKG Acoustics GmbH, made the announcement stating, “We are very excited to have Nick join HPNA to orchestrate the domestic sales efforts of our European brands. Nick has a tremendous energy that will be a huge benefit to our reps, dealers and customers in the states. He also has a vast knowledge of the professional audio marketplace, worldwide sales and the distribution, marketing, service, and customer support that is necessary to grow our business in the United States.”

Commenting on his new role, Owen noted, “For many years, AKG, Soundcraft and Studer have been premium brands in the recording and live broadcast markets, as well as in the post production, touring, house of worship and MI markets. However, we recognize that there is a tremendous opportunity for growth in the United States for our European Brands and I look forward to expanding our sales team and our company presence to take our business where it needs to go.”

Owen continued, “The next few years are going to be very exciting and with the new AKG Wireless WMS range, the recent launch of Soundcraft‘s Vi6 Digital Live Desk and the Studer Vista 5 Compact Digital Broadcast Console, we have a great product portfolio and a bright future ahead of us.”

Owen joined the Harman Pro Group in 2002 as Director of Sales Europe, Africa and the Middle East for Crown International and was formerly the founder of Soundscape Digital Technology. Owen‘s new post will be based out of the Harman Pro North America offices in Northridge, California.
