San Francisco, CA – September 14, 2015 – Creative editorial company Beast recently helped bring Yelp’s first advertising campaign to life. The humorous “We Know Just The Place” campaign launched nationwide on September 8 both on air and online, featuring two :30 and four :15 spots, and starring Ben Sinclair of HBO’s “High Maintenance” as the Yelp spokesman. Beast was tapped by Yelp, ad agency RSL+C, and production company Hungry Man to mine the wealth of scripted and improvised footage for the perfect comedic moments. Led by editor Connor McDonald, Beast’s San Francisco team spent several weeks experimenting with the footage to identify which combinations and cuts would be the funniest and most effective. “Yelp had such a great concept from the get go, and then director Dave Laden drew stellar performances out of everyone, particularly Ben Sinclair,” said McDonald. “There was so much strong footage; everything was usable and it was really fun to pull together the final spots.” Beast San Francisco’s in-house graphics division, Allied Motion Packing, delivered VFX, finishing, and motion graphics for the campaign, including compositing, rig removal, and graphic animation for the end tags. Beast’s sister company, Company 3, provided color for the campaign, led by colorist Tyler Roth at Company 3 Chicago.  About Beast Beast, a Deluxe Creative Services company, is a top editorial facility for commercials, music videos and web virals.
