Ascent Media Group Sound Talent Receive Oscar Noms for “Bourne�

SANTA MONICA, CALIF.--Creative talent from Ascent Media Group facilities received two nominations in the 80th Academy Awards announced today by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Nominated for Best Achievement in Sound Mixing are Re-Recording Mixers Scott Millan and David Parker from Todd-AO for The Bourne Ultimatum (the nomination is shared with Production Mixer Kirk Francis). Nominated for Best Achievement in Sound Editing are Soundelux’ Supervising Sound Editors Per Hallberg and Karen Baker Landers also for The Bourne Ultimatum. Millan has previously won Oscars for Ray, Gladiator and Apollo 13. He has three other nominations. Parker previously won an Oscar for The English Patient. He has two other nominations. Hallberg previously won an Oscar for Braveheart. He has one other nomination.
