Publish date:

New York, NY, August 13, 2008 -- In June 2008, editorial and creative house Ultrabland recruited editor Scott Harrison to the New York-based boutique. “Scott has that rare combination of great editorial instinct and design sensitivity that fits right in at Ultrabland. Having him on our creative team will be a great advantage for us and our clients, stated Bennett Killmer, editor and founder of Ultrabland. Harrison comes to Ultrabland with 20 years of creative promo experience within the industry and a client roster that includes VH1, MTV and CBS. He is largely acclaimed for his edit and design promotion for the "Late Show with David Letterman" on CBS from 1993 to 2008. Harrison has made the transition to Ultrabland’s unique, editor-driven workflow, having recently completed a show open for Discovery Channel’s NASA retrospective series "When We Left Earth" and the season five launch spots for "Taboo," National Geographic Channel’s top-rated program. “The promo campaign for 'Taboo' is a perfect example of why I joined Ultrabland. It's all about finding that perfectly simple solution that stands out in a break and motivates people to watch a show. There's a real appreciation here for that process, said Harrison. Before joining Ultrabland, Harrison built a solid reputation as a partner and Smoke operator at Creative Group, collaborating with television networks on design direction, editing and execution from 1999 to 2008. Harrison graduated from Bowdoin College and continued his education at Columbia University where he received a MFA in Film. Harrison started his career at National Video Center where he worked for 11 years as an editor on music videos, commercials and broadcast promotion.
