Filmmaker Wim Wenders talks to The New York Times about his latest documentary The Salt of the Earth, co-directed with Juliano Ribeiro Salgado and focusing on the work and career of photographer Sebastião Salgado.
Says Wenders about the subject matter, “I think the creative process is a really interesting adventure, maybe one of the few adventures left on this planet today. I’ve always loved to find out how people work. I wanted to know what is driving these people. What is driving Pina or somebody like Yohji Yamamoto or Sebastião Salgado? Where is it coming from?”
