Williams Named Editor Of DV Magazine; Clapp Named Editorial Director Of Newbay Media’s Video Group

has announced that David Williams has been named editor DV magazine and Cristina Clapp has been promoted to Editorial Director for the company’s Video Group, which includes DV, as well as Videography, Digital Cinematography, Government Video, Television Broadcast, and the Creative Planet Community of websites.

Williams has extensive experience in publishing within the video industry, beginning with a stint at Film Threat magazine in 1989. From there, Williams went on to join the editorial staffs of American Cinematographer, The Hollywood Reporter, and, most recently, Cinemafantastique.

Clapp has been with NewBay Media for eight years, most recently as Editorial Director for Videography and Digital Cinematography magazines. In her new position as Editorial Director for the entire Video Group, she will oversee and work with all of the editorial teams to ensure that the group’s products continue to serve both readers and clients to their full potential.
