Videographer Michel Auder recorded the brightly lit windows of his neighbors from his Manhattan apartment over the course of the year to create his three-channel video installation Untitled (I was looking back to see if you were looking back at me to see me looking back at you). This voyeuristic but painterly portrait of the urban night allows boundaries between public and private to collapse.
The piece is running from now until October 18th at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art. Auder will be on-hand to discuss his video installation on September 24th.
