Artists Lauren Strohacker and Kendra Sollars’s “Animal Land” features enormous projections of endangered species in urban areas. The piece serves as a reminder of the displacement of these animals from their natural habitat.
“Whatever space or city we’re in, we try to use animals native to the area. It’s very site-specific,” Stohacker tells Los Angeles Times. “It’s interesting to see how many people don’t recognize native species. It really plays into that ecological loss of information.”
