Indiewire reports from the Tribeca Film Festival where, over the weekend, editor Thelma Schoonmaker led a masterclass dissecting her work in Scorsese’s classic film, Raging Bull.
Said Schoonmaker about which take they ended up using for Robert De Niro’s final speech in the film, “Scorsese and I rarely disagree, but I preferred a warmer take from De Niro. But Scorsese said he thought Jake had to be very cold when he confronts himself. So we screened it two ways, and Marty was right.”
