Reboot Entertainment repurposes vintage video for mobile consumption, transferring high-quality entertainment and sports content into mobile applications. The company has a large entertainment library consisting of more than 20,000 videotapes. With so much material requiring digitization, Reboot needed an efficient and high-quality ingest path. Bluefish444's Epoch | 4K Supernova and ingeSTore software enables Reboot's staff to digitize up to four QuickTime uncompressed or DNxHD files simultaneously and allows for basic metadata input for each clip.

With older analog tape decks such as Betacam SP, Reboot chose the Bluefish444 Synapse ANA140 for its highest quality 24-bit conversion and P/PsF filtering to bridge the digital capture workflow.

The Reboot tech team investigated many options, eventually concluding that Bluefish444's Synapse converters, Epoch | 4K Supernova and ingeSTore software fulfilled all of their requirements. With its Bluefish444 workflow, Reboot Entertainment is able to run up to four captures simultaneously for 18 hours per day.

Walter Procek, president of Reboot Entertainment, comments, "The analog to SDI conversion is flawless. The Bluefish444 product specialists and support staff are a pleasure to work with, and are both informative and insightful. Our impression of the products is simple amazement. They are cost-effective, flawless, and have exceeded all our expectations."

He continues, "The Bluefish444 Synapse converter allows us to source older decks and bridge analog to digital at an affordable price point. We plan to expand our relationship with Bluefish as we move forward."
