The Real Problem with 4K Adoption Has More to Do with Hardware Than Content

Sharif Sakr of Forbes writes what he believes is the real problem with 4K adoption: not the lack of content since he thinks 4K displays upgrade HD pictures to a noticeable degree, but rather an issue of compatible cables.

He writes, “One of the obstacles is a dearth of native 4K content, of course, but I think that’s often overplayed. I’ve been experimenting with some 4K equipment over the past week or so, and I’ve come to conclusion that cables and inter-device compatibility actually pose a bigger risk to 4K adoption, and they could potentially cause some early adopters to get burned.”
