Director Tim Erem takes his cues from the vibrancy of India in his music video for Major Lazer and DJ Snake’s “Lean On,” which was also reflected in the video’s color grade.
As Mill colorist Matt Osborne explains, “We used old Bollywood films as a reference, with lots of bright warm heavy saturated colours and warm skin tones. We then contrasted this in the bus scene by using heavy cyan blues to almost balance the film out, taking it away from the red tones.”
