You Won’t Believe This Gorgeous Paint Spot Was Shot Entirely Practically

It may look like CGI wizardry, but the gorgeous spot for Sherwin-Williams’s Emerald line of paint was done entirely practically with a tank of water, bold pigment and a unique motion-controlled high-speed camera system called Spike developed by The Marmalade.

The footage was captured with a Phantom camera and edited on-the-fly using Autodesk Flame. Watch production company Psyop explain it all in the behind-the-scenes video below, followed by the completed spot.
