‘Westworld’ Opening Is a Worthy Successor to HBO’s Memorable Titles Pedigree

Elastic’s Patrick Clair directs the main titles for HBO’s new sci-fi series Westworld.

At once beautiful and ominous, the titles depict the creation of the bones and ligaments that go into the lifelike robots that inhabit the eponymous Western-themed amusement park.

Clair also created the memorable opening titles for both seasons of HBO’s True Detective. The music for Westworld is by Ramin Djawadi, who also wrote the now iconic score for Game of Thrones.
