Watch a Roundtable with Roger Deakins, Benoit Delhomme, Jeff Cronenweth and More of the Year’s Best Cinematographers

In the below annual Hollywood Reporter roundtable the cinematographers behind some of the most visually stunning films of the year–Dion Beebe (Into the Woods), Jeff Cronenweth (Gone Girl), Benoit Delhomme (The Theory of Everything), Matthew Libatique (Noah) and Dick Pope (Mr. Turner)–discuss their work and their craft.

Deakins say, “People confuse pretty with good cinematography. I often feel that if reviewers don’t mention your work, it’s probably better than if they do.”
