Tracking Kubrick’s Tracking Shots

The site Fstoppers celebrated Stanley Kubrick’s birthday last week with a montage of Stanley Kubrick tracking shots. The celebrated director, who would have been 87 on July 26th, is known for some of the greatest films ever made, including Clockwork Orange, Paths of Glory, and Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, had an often copied but never matched visual style characterized in part by long, tracking shots.

North Carolina-based Jason Hudson wrote and cut this loving tribute to some of most memorable such shots.
