Blackmagic Web Presenter allows customers to use their professional SDI and HDMI video sources with streaming software and services such as YouTube Live, Facebook Live and others. Featuring 12G-SDI and HDMI connections, Blackmagic Web Presenter downconverts SD, HD and Ultra HD sources and makes them look like a 720p USB webcam. As all streaming software works with webcams, Blackmagic Web Presenter also makes it easy to work with any streaming software, but with dramatically higher quality. Streaming in 720p ensures customers get the quality of HD and a 16:9 aspect ratio, but with very low data rates, so uplinking streams to the internet is easy from any computer. Blackmagic Web Presenter can also live switch programs using its built-in two-input production switcher when the optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel is installed.
Lenses in the Zeiss CP.3 lens family, which includes CP.3 and CP.3 XD compact prime lenses for cinema, exhibit the clean, crisp characteristics Zeiss is known for, together with an interchangeable mount system and full-frame coverage. The lens data technology in the Zeiss CP.3 XD (eXtended Data) version includes the open /i Technology standard and Zeiss-specific lens data that contains precise lens characteristics. The interchangeable mount system enables a quick change from cine-style PL mount to four other mount options (Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E or MFT). There are two versions of the PL mount: one with an electronic interface for recording lens data on the Zeiss CP.3 XD lenses via internal camera interface, and the other without the electronic interface for the standard Zeiss CP.3 lenses.
The Element series of multicamera video recorders and switchers streamline productions by eliminating many of the time-stealing tasks common to multicamera productions. By routing all camera feeds to a single multichannel recorder, many of the mundane tasks—copying media cards, renaming video clips, syncing timecode, transcoding to a common edit-ready codec, and aligning clips to the first frame—are eliminated. ISO recording of all cameras to a single SSD minimizes media and data-wrangling costs. Once shooting is complete, the footage is immediately ready for editing. Using a high-speed multi-processor architecture, Element can transfer compressed video clips over gigabit Ethernet while simultaneously recording or playing back four streams of video/audio. The series includes Element 1, a multicamera HD recorder, Element 2, a multicamera HD recorder and switcher, and Element 3, a multicamera 4K recorder and switcher.
DJI has added the Phantom 4 Advanced to its Phantom family of aerial production vehicles. The new model, which is expected to ship at the end of April and replace the Phantom 4, offers a more powerful camera, more precise control and a flight time of 30 minutes. Outfitted with a 1-inch, 20-megapixel sensor and a mechanical shutter, the vehicle’s camera is capable of shooting 4K video at 60 fps. Video processing supports H.264 4K videos at 60 fps or H.265 4K at 30 fps, both with a 100 Mb/s bit rate. Equipped with the FlightAutonomy system made up of five vision sensors, forward-facing obstacle avoidance system, dual-band satellite positioning (GPS and GLONASS) and ultrasonic rangefinders, Phantom 4 Advanced is able to hover precisely in places without GPS and fly in complex environments.
DVEO is now shipping its miniature, low-latency H.264 HDMI encoders and decoders: the single-channel Ministreamer HDMI/IP and Mini D-Streamer IP/HDMI. The Ministreamer HDMI/IP encodes a single IP stream at 0.1 to 60 Mb/s. The H.264/AVC output can be scaled to any resolution up to 1080p 30/1080i 60. IP output protocols are DASH, HLS, UDP, RTP, and RTMP (Open Flash). The system can record and stream at the same time with the built-in 32 GB SSD or with USB-attached storage. The Mini D-Streamer IP/HDMI decoder supports HLS, HTTP, RTSP, HTML or RTMP (pushed from Flash server) in and converts H.264/AVC or MPEG-2 compressed digital video and audio into professional digital HDMI output. This device decodes at 0.1 to 60 Mb/s. It is ideal for receiving and decoding streaming video from remote sites, CDNs or IPTV-compatible appliances or players.
Fujifilm Optical Devices Division
Developed for emerging cinematographers and designed for E-mount cameras, the MK series of cinema lenses offers advanced optical performance and an ultra-compact and lightweight design. Engineered to maintain consistent color temperature with all Fujinon cinema lenses, simplifying color grading, the lenses in the MK series inherit Fujinon cine lenses’ advanced edge-to-edge optical performance and low distortion. The currently available MK18-55mm T2.9 is a standard zoom with an 18-55mm focal length. The MK50-135mm T2.9 will be available this summer. Together, the first two MK lenses cover the range most frequently used by emerging cinematographers. The series offers fast lenses with T2.9 speed across the entire zoom range, enabling a shallow depth of field.
To address space limitations and reduce the complexities of today’s technical directors’ production workloads, Grass Valley developed the K-Frame V-series as an addition to the K-Frame family of production switchers. At only 3RU, this new frame is an ideal complement to the GV Korona switcher panel and fits in locations with limited space but requires no compromises on enterprise features. V-series can be used with any Grass Valley switcher panel, and broadcasters can run multiple panels and shows off the same frame at the same time. The V-series frame is modular for easy field reconfiguration and serviceability. The modularity also makes for an easy upgrade to an all-IP or mixed SDI and IP environment in the future.

Onboard solid-state electronics give lighting professionals the freedom to operate fixtures remotely via wireless DMX light control boards and apps, up to 200 yards away, or through standard DMX connections. Celeb technology achieves bright, soft glamour lighting without flicker at high camera speeds or at varied shutter angles.
Miller Camera Support
Miller’s arrowFX range of fluid heads, which includes the arrowFX 3, 5 and 7, provides a solution for HD live television productions where augmented reality effects are inserted into the picture. The arrowFX heads feature robust, high-resolution magnetic encoders that precisely monitor and communicate the position of the fluid head with zero latency. The series also features an Augmented Reality Interface (ARI) box, which interfaces between the arrowFX fluid heads and real-time graphics engines such as those from Vizrt, Orad and others, providing accurate real-time pan, tilt, zoom and focus data, as well as lens geometry information. The arrowFX 3 is designed for lighter cameras (payload range of 2.2 to 41.8 lb.) and offers 16 positions of counterbalance and 5+0 pan-and-tilt drag positions. The arrowFX 5 (payload 4.4–46.2 lb.) and arrowFX 7 (13.2–55.1 lb.) both feature 16 positions of counterbalance and 7+0 pan-and-tilt drag positions.
TriCaster TC1 is the culmination of NewTek’s more than a decade of IP video experience for live production. It includes support for 4K UHD switching, live streaming, recording, data-driven graphics, virtual sets, social media publishing and more. TriCaster TC1 supports 16 external inputs of up to 4K UHD 60p resolution without sacrificing functionality. Powered by NewTek’s NDI technology for IP-based workflows, TriCaster TC1 also offers multiple studio-grade Skype TX channels for adding remote video guests to live shows. NewTek’s software-driven, IP-native approach to 4K eliminates the need for conversion to and from baseband video, allowing all integrated features including video playback, mix/effect busses, keying layers and streaming to be 4K-capable without limiting the number of available resources.

Based on DAX with Digital Dailies and part of Prime Focus Technologies’ flagship product CLEAR Media ERP, DAX Production Cloud improves workflow efficiency by centralizing assets into a single repository that can be securely accessed by authorized stakeholders throughout the content lifecycle. DAX Production Cloud allows the use of same system for both dailies and postproduction workflows. It enables editorial, creative agencies, VFX and localization vendors to collaborate, service and distribute media. With high-res content on the system, users can have seamless access to other CLEAR modules, like Promo Operations, which allows end-to-end business process orchestration for promo creation, including automation of promo versioning using Adobe Premiere Pro CC.
