AJA Video Systems


At the 2016 NAB Show, AJA Video Systems announced HELO, a standalone H.264 streaming and recording device. HELO offers a range of professional workflow options with both 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs, the power to handle up to 1080p recording formats and a simple web-based UI for easy configuration. It allows users to stream video signals directly to web content delivery networks (CDNs) while simultaneously recording either to an SD card, USB drives or network-based storage, with dedicated record and stream buttons for easy operation. HELO will be available soon for an MSRP of $1,295.

ME200S-SH Camera

The latest addition to Canon’s line of multipurpose modular cameras, this 1920 x 1080 Super 35mm compact box camera features both high sensitivity and a cinema look for high-quality image capture. Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus (DAF) technology provides ME200S-SH camera users with a range of focusing options when using compatible Canon EF lenses and Cine-Servo lenses. Remote manual control of focus, iris, auto exposure (AE) and ND filters is available with the optional Canon RC-V100 controller. The ME200S-SH camera features 3G/HD-SDI and HDMI output terminals that enable users to output video via a single cable to a variety of peripheral equipment, including external recorders and monitors. The ME200S-SH is scheduled to be available in August for a suggested list price of $5,999.

8mm f/4 Fisheye Lens

The Duclos 8mm sets itself apart with its minimalistic, fixed focus design for robust, reliable operation. Aperture is controlled electronically through the camera for seamless remote operation. Focus is fixed at hyperfocal distance for a range of 1.5’ to infinity. The dome front cap protects the glass and gives the Duclos 8mm a distinctive menacing appearance. The 8mm “pod lens” from Duclos Lenses is available now for $4,995.

DH5e On-Camera Monitor

The DH5e camera field monitor, an update to Ikan’s DH5, has a 1920 x 1080 LCD panel that supports 4K HDMI inputs and offers touchscreen control. The DH5 is equipped with image analysis features including false color, peaking, zooming, guides, histogram and audio meters. It also features image flip so the monitor can be configured for specific needs. This small, lightweight design is perfect for handheld rigs and delivers solid image quality in a small, affordable package. MSRP of the DH5e is $350.
