The short film “This Is Our London” was made to commemorate the start of construction of London’s new Garden Bridge, the upcoming pedestrian bridge covered with greenery that is supposed to open in 2018. Directed by Charlie Robins of agency Across the Pond, the film is meant to positively portray the project, which has been met with some controversy.
“The role of the film is to generate excitement and support for the project,” Robert Waddilove, agency and strategy director of Across the Pond, tells It’s Nice That. “To do this we wanted to consider the day to day lives of real Londoners in the city. The hustle and bustle, the characters and the variety. All while expressing balance with how the bridge will provide a new place for calm, nature and reflection.”
