AbelCine is running a two-day workshop in New York entitled “Raw Formats, Shooting, Workflow & Post.” Instructor and cinematographer Geoff Boyle will lead the discussion on everything from acquisition to on-set media management to post processes. This two-day workshop is for anyone interested in RAW workflow. All RAW camera systems on the market today will be covered, including, but not limited to, Arri ALEXA, Sony F65, RED, and the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. Post systems include SpeedGrade, Resolve, RedCineX and more.
Part lecture style and part hands-on, this class covers a basic understanding of RAW formats, the difference between Looks and LUTS, and an overview of rushes and approaches to shooting and finishing in post. For the hands-on portion, you will shoot your own sequences and demonstrate look generation and grading with the footage that is shot in class.
Early bird pricing is at $525 and includes lunch. As of September 3rd the pricing goes up to $599. Read more and register here.
