Projection Mapping Conveys Sense of Love and Loss in 12-Minute Music Video

Phillip Torres directs the music video/short film “Thirsty” for Jivin’ Scientists, featuring three tracks off of the trio’s album of the same name.

The film uses projection mapping to convey the story of a lost relationship. “Technically, we wanted to capture the love scenes in a more subjective way so they would mesh well with the digital scenes,” Torres tells The Source. “We projection mapped onto the subject’s faces to get the cool effect and then we used VFX to make her disappear.”
