Although the piece was intended to be featured online and sent to prospective clients via e-mail, McCormick and the client decided to shoot in 4K for the ability to push in on subjects in frame without losing resolution in post.
For the interviews, the A-camera was fitted with a Fujinon 19-90mm T2.9 Cabrio PL cinema lens using a Metabones lens adapter. The B-camera, with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L zoom lens and Metabones lens adapter, was mostly kept tight on a three-quarter profile of the interview subject.
“The images were beautiful,” reports Steve Herrlin, the project’s director of photography.
McCormick adds, “The JVC 4K cameras helped us get the shots we needed quickly and efficiently.”
