‘No Good Deed’ Thrills Captured with Sony F65

Screen Gems president of physical production Glenn Gainor says that for the company’s new film No Good Deed, “We really wanted a fresh, innovative look that puts the audience into the scene. We shot through rain that poured down and relied on city street lights to accent the scene in ways never before seen in cinema thanks to these cameras’ 16 stops of latitude.”

Gainor, director Sam Miller and cinematographer Michael Barrett opted to use the Sony F65 4K camera to capture the action. “The color rendition of the F65 is truly remarkable,” Barrett says. “Since most of this film takes place at night, I relied heavily on existing light sources wherever we found them. The sensitivity of the F65 let me balance the prevailing ambience.”
