Johnnie Walker’s new one-take ad “The Next Step” starts at a New Year’s Eve party and takes a look at what’s to come in 2015. The spot was filmed on a moving soundstage with a stationary camera. It was completed in about 50 takes over the course of 3 days.
“The timing had to be absolutely perfect,” BBH group creative director Gerard Caputo tells Adweek. “They had a 40-meter set moving down an 80-meter track, with an 8-meter treadmill running through the middle of it.”
