Marco Brambilla Creates Fictional Space Launch for Times Square

In collaboration with NASA and Times Square Arts’ Midnight Moment, video artist Marco Brambilla is taking over the screens of Times Square every night this month by recreating a never-realized Apollo space launch.

As he tells NOWNESS, “I wanted the spectacle of the launch to challenge the advertising it is interrupting, to be even more larger-than-life than the imagery we are constantly bombarded with in Times Square.”
