Lincoln Center Classical Music Gets a Futuristic Twist Wth Projected Videos

This March, New York’s Lincoln Center will be host to a multi-sensory concert event, when a classical music concert will be accompanied by films projected on massive 4K screens.

Explains PSFK, “The films, shot on RED and drone cameras, feature imagery from the composers’ personal lives; the stories and themes explored in their symphonies. Six robotic cameras will roam the orchestra and project live images of the musicians on the screen, drawing the audience close to their intensity and athleticism. Video designer Joachim Schamberger, known for his work in La Boheme and Aida, will incorporate digital film, 3D animation, projection mapping and lighting design reminiscent of a rock concert to create an active, multi-sensory experience.”
