Spectre sound editors Per Hallberg and Karen Baker Landers talk to NPR’s All Things Considered about their work on the latest Bond film. which–naturally–featured the need for high-octane sounds of collapsing buildings, helictoper fights and more. It was hard work, on a tight schedule and yet, if they’ve done their job right, it shouldn’t be noticed at all.
“The basic illusion that we work with is for the audience,” says Hallberg. “When they go to the movie theater, they shouldn’t think about what we’ve done at all.”
