In his own words, Inner Demons director Seth Grossman write on The Daily Beast about how he used his previous job experience (producing Intervention) as ripe fodder for his horror movie.
He writes, “With the film Inner Demons, I had the chance to exorcize my own personal demons by exploring the complex experience I had working on Intervention. The film is about a reality production crew that’s documenting teenage junkie Carson Morris and her family as they struggle with her addiction. The twist is that Carson claims to be using heroin and pills because that’s the only way to control the demon that’s inside her, and the question becomes what does Carson really need—rehab or exorcism?”
