‘High-Rise’ Director Ben Wheatley Discusses His Dystopian Film

In the below 10-minute interview with Vice, High-Rise director Ben Wheatley discusses his dystopian film set against the background of 1980s U.K. politics.

“Bad people never think they’re bad,” says Wheatley about the film’s dark characters. “They just occasionally make bad life choices which they justify. But in general day-to-day stuff, they don’t wear a black hate and a cape and go around laughing maniacally. They’re not obviously evil.”
