Haivision Streams International Violin Competition

With Haivision's live streaming solution, the competition has been able to expose the artists and their music to a much wider audience, streaming to more than 120 countries and 200,000 viewers.

Classical music may draw a niche audience, but members of that audience live in almost every country in the world. Fittingly, organizers of the International Joseph Joachim Violin Competition of Hannover, Germany, seeking to broaden the reach of the event and expose a larger audience to the artists, streamed a recent event live. The triennial violin contest showcases young artists from around the world and aims to support their musical development in their path to an international career.

Event organizers turned to Haivision’s live streaming solution, including its KB internet media encoder and the Haivision Video Cloud, to deliver the live video stream. Since a strong storytelling element is necessary to broadcast classical music, event producers needed streaming technology that was easy to set up, reliable and easy to use. Using Haivision solutions, the production team can now focus less on the technology and more on the storytelling.

With Haivision’s live streaming solution, the competition has been able to expose the artists and their music to a much wider audience, streaming to more than 120 countries and 200,000 viewers. Not only has the solution helped the competition reach audiences outside of the concert hall, it has supported the young competitors by allowing them to feel more connected with their family and friends via the live stream.
